Improve the person, the business, the family, the community

I just read an article on stretching our comfort zones. It was a great reminder that often something that starts out scary and new, eventually becomes familiar, and over time we find new ways to continally push ourselves. So the question I have is: What have you done recently that has stretched your comfort zone?

I gave a presentation to top executives in my company and I had no clue how they would receive my proposal. That definitely stretched me. I just kept reminding myself that turning my vision into reality is worth taking the risk.

That is definitely a skinny branch! And now that you've stretched your comfort zone, I'm going to guess you'll be doing even more executive presentations. Good fo you!

I started going to classes at the gym. Up until now, I have pretty much been a lone wolf when it comes to working out. I love my iPod and the open road for a good run. I learned how much fun it is to be around other people that have the same goals as me in mind when it comes to fitness. I also realized it didn't matter how I looked or if I was getting it right since no one was focused on me at all. LOL It was fun! :-)

You're so funny! I was just reading a book called "Blue Ocean Strategy" and they were mentioning that the reason "Curves" was designed was so women specifically could work out quickly and without worrying about what they looked like. So maybe you are more in the norm than you realized! Happy exercising! Hugs!
